		<description>I know I&#039;ve been covering events where a ref was winded, hit hard, took a puck to shoulder, etc. but I have never caught it as a photograph. I think I have seen others submit those photos before but I have none.

Great post I have added some images from a number of sports in which the head has played a role.  I read so often and see specials about the risks our young athletes face.  As a photographer it is often that we see the up close of some of these collisions and it makes me cringe.  At other points the head is used as a way to aid in a catch or advance a soccer ball.  Thanks for selecting this topic while selecting images I kept thinking to my self oh yeah i remember image has the potential to evoke the initial emotion that each of us has in a moment if its excitement, fear, concern, joy, or pain.</description>
